7118-2.JPGa63373b.JPGHave you ever wanted to add a little something extra to your home decor; and what was standing in your way was a shortage in the money department?  Well we’ve got an answer for you!  Unique ideas that will give you the opportunity to accessorize your western home decor without breaking the bank!

Try something as simple as door knobs, drawer pulls, or western shelf brackets that will hold a 10″ to 12″ glass or wooden shelf to showcase your western figurines, or even cookbooks if you put it in your rustic kitchen decor.

You can just move around the accessories you already have.  Maybe from the living area to your bedroom or vice versa.  Change the purpose for what something is used for.  A good example is a magazine rack ~~ rather than have magazines in it move it to your bathroom, roll up extra towels, wash cloths etc. & place them in what “was” your magazine rack.  If you have a western key rack or decorative wall hooks you really like in your entryway, move it into your kitchen to show-off your decorative hot pads or tee towels.

Candle holders come in more shapes, sizes & designs than could possibly be named, and add a sense of elegance to any room you put them in.  Western style metal candle holders are available in rodeo event designs and also the very popular “Lone Star” or “Barn Star” design.  Try several for an especially romantic escapade for you and your cowboy!

Any of these items are an inexpensive way to accessorize, giving you the opportunity to kick-up your western home decor in an inexpensive, yet inviting and welcoming way!

Everyone has a choice in whether they decorate their entire home in one decor, decorate each room in a different style, or have an eclectic decor thoughout.  While keeping that in mind ~~ any bedroom should have a relaxing and cozy ambience.

Decorating it in western decor accomplishes this while also giving it a masculine feel.  You can use an abundance of rich and rustic colors, such as burgundy or deep reds, sky blues, forest greens, burnished oranges and gold, and of course warm earthy browns.  Is it starting to feel like the outdoors?  Ah-ha, you have country western decor!

Very often lamps are made of metal, uniquely shaped wood, or cow horns, and have design’s that are western in nature.  Using a cowhorn lamp is a definite masculine touch, while a stretched rawhide covered lampshade adds a soft glow created by the lamps light passing through the stretched rawhide.  The addition of a candle holder gives you even more of a cozy romantic touch, and the variety of available design’s is seemingly endless.

Until tomorrow ~~ Happy Trails!
